  • Do you provide the hair?
    CROCHET CLIENTS should bring their own hair, except those who book for Twana's Pick. A random selection of hair will be available at the appointment for those who arrive with no hair.
  • Do you do Individual Crochet Installation?
    I do a modified version of Individual Crochet installation. I connect plaits and use a standard cornrow base. I do not use individual plaits for installation. Please contact Twana directly for a more detailed explanation and/or pics for clarity.
  • Why do you require a deposit to book an appointment?
    A deposit is required to book an appointment because it secures the time slot on the calendar. In case you cancel the appointment, loss of revenue is not a total loss on my part. If the appointment is cancelled, the deposit is forfeited.
  • Can Human hair be used for Crochet Braids?
    Yes, human hair can be used for Crochet Braids, but I have never had a good experience with it. Human hair is not dense enough to hold the knots required to secure the style. Human hair is very soft and when moisturized, the hair will loosen and slip out. Synthetic hair is a much better option for Crochet Braids. Some stylists use glue on the knots when using human hair. I do not support the practice of using glue or any adhesive to secure the knots. I use a 3-loop knotting method that does not require an adhesive.
  • What forms of payment do you accept?
    On the day of styling, I accept cash, debit, credit, Cashapp, Zelle, Venmo & Paypal.
  • How long does an installation take?
    Approximately 3 hours, depending on the style. Crochet Braids lasts 6-8 weeks.
  • Do you provide shampoo services?
    Yes, shampoo service is available as an Add On option when booking for Crochet Braids. Shampoo service is included with the Barbering and Hair Loss Replacement Services.
  • How much do you charge?
    My Crochet styling fees range from $85 and up depending on the service and the age of the client. Seniors over 65 and children 12 and under are given a discount.   • Do  you do Knotless  or Illusion Crochet Braids?
    No, I only do Basic Crochet installation. I don't do Knotless, Illusion, Invisible or Vixen Crochet Braids.
  • Where are you located?
    Crochet Braids by Twana is located at Commonwealth Offices in Fredericksburg, VA. The address is 150 Olde Greenwich Drive, Suite 207, Fredericksburg VA 22408.
  • How do I pay the required deposit?
    The deposit can be paid here on the website, when you click the Book Appointment tab at the top of the page.
